Dot Net - What is it?
DotNet, when released, was a radical new development by Microsoft, billed as probably
even more significant than the release of the Original 16-bit Windows
or the 32-bit windows operating systems.
The name kind of implies that this technology is really built around the internet,
but really it doesn't exclusively require use of the internet or any browser
There's a fully featured interface for producing both web front-end and
standard Windows-like client interface
For ease of distribution to users, we favour the development of of solutions using a browser-based interface, but our development methodology facilitates using a Windows interface on top of our database access architecture.
